Entering through a small old wooden door you will be enchanted by an original square shaped living room, lit by sunlight coming in from above.
You will find yourself immediately immersed in bygone era, in the simplicity of rural living of times past. A real return to the origins, where you’ll be able to disconnect from all the stress of everyday life, and your daily routines will become more natural and relaxed.
The living room, onto which all the other rooms lead, is the heart of the house. The kitchen is charming with its exposed shelving, hanging pots and other objects collected through time. There is a large fireplace to warm evenings with friends and at one end of the kitchen there is a small porch,used as a secondary entrance.
The other rooms open onto the living room, and a bathroom further down, where an old wash basin in Carrara marble is truly in its element.
On the upper floor, there is a third bedroom with small en suite and a reading area with a bright glass wall overlooking the roofs.
The terrace is like a “green nest” with a magnificent open view of the green valley up to the mountains.
On the lower floor the former barn, now used as a cellar, could be turned into a recreational room.
The owners who are both architects have wanted to keep all original materials intact: like the long wooden floorboards and terracotta tiling, the old coloured fixtures, stone inserts and the interior staircase.
There is central heating throughout the house which is ideal for the colder seasons.
Dolcedo can be reached on foot with an easy stroll of around 10 minutes. Public parking is around 40 meters away from the property.
