Happy Wednesday! House perfection: cozy Danish family home in a village only 30 minutes from sandy beaches.
This home has everything I could wish for – a charming thatched roof and beautiful windows, volumes of interior space but with plenty of cozy nooks to hide in (that reading corner!), and all the modern conveniences but with plenty of character to make you feel in place with your surroundings. And still quite affordable! I love it, would happily become a citizen of Denmark to live here, 10/10!
From the listing on Nybolig:
It is the arched windows, the thatched roof, the exposed beams in the ceiling and the many other charming features and details that define this inviting property that can now become your family home. You get a full 266 square meters to arrange yourself on, and the home is distributed on the first floor of the house as well as the ground floor, which was thoroughly renovated in 2007. The house’s windows are from 2014, and together with the good ceiling height contributes their beautiful light to the lovely atmosphere that characterizes the whole home. The ground floor is furnished with a large living environment, which consists of the house’s living room, which is in open connection with a nice kitchen-dining area. The living room has a wood burning stove that is in addition, underfloor heating in the kitchen-dining room as well as the ground floor bathroom and a spacious utility room, and the floor also offers a bedroom as well as an entrance hall with stairs to the first floor. Here awaits four more rooms and another bathroom, and from the repo is there access to a cozy loft. Last but not least, you have the opportunity to furnish both a sixth room and an extra living room extension of the large living room. In short, the home has very family-friendly dimensions, and the same goes for the garden, which is nicely secluded behind the property. The plot is 1,245 square meters in total, and in addition to a large lawn and beautifully grown plantation, the garden offers a sunny terrace environment. When it comes to location, it’s also hard to imagine a more family – friendly one of a kind. You are going to live on one safe and quiet road in cozy Sig, and within a few minutes by bike you can reach both the local school and Dagli’Brugsen, good childcare facilities and leisure facilities. If you need to continue around, it is only 500 meters to Sig Station, and thanks to the area’s good road network when, for example, you also quickly reach Varde and Esbjerg by car.
