Happy Tuesday! A very affordable sweet retreat in a lively French village!
I usually save properties under $100K for Fridays, but this little abode popped up this morning and I felt so charmed by it! Located in a village infamous for its slightly silly name (Montcuq sounds like “Mon cul” in French) and subject of a classic French comedy sketch (video below!), this village is a bustling area with plenty of shops, cafés, bakeries, and restaurants to explore.
The rainy entrance reminds me of a French café I used to go to in my hometown. For some reason I always went there when it was raining. I remember the warm scents of coffee, chocolate, butter, cheese, ham and the cold, gloomy day outside. So cozy, I miss it! I can imagine this home being perfect for a freelance writer or artist – plenty to see and do, and within budget. It would also be a great summer getaway for those who want a pied-à-terre in France, perhaps to share with friends and family.
