Happy Monday, Escapists! Greek island living! Waterfront Cycladic boat house in need of renovation on Sifnos island in Greece!
I normally don’t post properties in need of serious renovation but this is an exception. I would love waking up and having a coffee in the morning on that platform, or a glass of wine and sunset watching at night. I researched the village of Seralia and it is full of delicious spots to eat seafood or have a drink. The structure is tiny! But I assume that would make renovation costs also relatively cheap. After renovation, it would be a fantastic investment — and how dreamy!
If it’s hard to imagine the renovated final product, I found this listing on Air Bnb that captures the gist of how it could look after renovation!
From the listing on Mer et Demeures:
In the picturesque harbour of Seralia,Sifnos just minutes away from the medieval settlement of Kastro and right on the sea shore, there is an old boat house, approx. 40m². This seafront building was used in the past as a winter boat shelter and is now a rare example of its kind on the island. It consists of a single long room and needs general renovation. Ideal for endless summer hours of fun and relaxation, next to the sea. Suitable as a residence or for commercial use.
