Good Thursday morning. A beautiful late 19th century manor house fifteen minutes from sandy beaches in Portugal!
This home feels quite grand and would be a wonderful bed and breakfast or retreat location. Portuguese kitchens are dreamy for me, always so big and full of light. Portuguese culture has a long history. I have been reading and listening a lot about the history of the world, and it is painful and beautiful. Hopeless and hopeful. Sending lots of love to you.
From the listing on Century 21 Portugal:
Manor house built at the end of the 19th century, with architectural features and the aesthetic standard of the building in São Paulo, characterized mainly by the various glazed surfaces and large dimensions, by the great footprint of the rooms, mainly in the grand areas, by the application of plasterwork ceilings and walls and the application of worked wooden skirting boards.
The main building consists of two floors. The ground floor comprises 1 kitchen, 1 fully equipped WC, 2 living rooms, 3 bedrooms, a “living room” and an entrance hall. There was still adjoining the building and between the dining room and the kitchen, a leisure space with a closed greenhouse. Later the greenhouse was deactivated and replaced by a modern and more functional kitchen. The first floor consists of 2 simple rooms, 1 room with a complete private bathroom and a space that works as a closet. The building was surrounded from the front, rear and side by gardens.
This beautiful building in a very quiet area whose surroundings are inserted in the Mondego Valley, with a location 15 minutes from beautiful beaches and with good accessibility.
