Happy Bargain Friday! A bright and airy studio apartment with terrace in a beautiful chateau! Views to the harbor town of Audierne, in Brittany, France!

This little pied-à-terre would be a lovely investment as well as a perfect spot to run away to whenever it strikes your fancy. It comes furnished (convenient!) but it would be fun to redesign. Sitting on the terrace after it is arranged with plants, garden lights, and a comfortable settee, enjoying the boats passing by and cool night breezes with a glass of wine.

It also reminds me of an Agatha Christie mystery – imagine being embroiled in the intrigues of the chic residents and vacationers? Story ideas are already stewing!

From the listing on Leggett:

This well-appointed studio apartment with a large private terrace in a converted château, would make a great holiday get-away, or it could be bought as an investment. It lies close to the charming town of Audierne which has boulangeries, restaurants, shops and other necessary amenities. Quimper is 40km away for links beyond.

This apartment, being sold furnished, has a good rental record so it can be a decent investment, or practical place for a relaxing holiday retreat. There is a housekeeper available to handle changeovers etc on the rental aspect, so you could be up and running immediately. The château is situated on a stunning spot overlooking the port of Audierne.

Audierne is a harbour resort and active fishing centre on the Cap Sizun peninsula of south-west Finistère. The main port and centre of the town are on the estuary of the River Goyen which can been seen from the château. The town is a popular leisure resort with visitors to western Brittany, both for the town itself and for the easy access it provides to beaches and the impressive coastal scenery of western Finistère.
