Happy Wednesday! This old Spanish flour mill is such an interesting property, with great potential to develop it into something truly extraordinary! The mill dates back all the way to the 1400s, and was built on throughout the centuries, including a large expansion into a flour factory called “La Estrella de Campos” in the 1800s. The building has fallen into disrepair over the last century or so, but remains a historic landmark of the region.
The City Council of Valderas have advertised for a buyer to save this gorgeous property from demolition. There are several news articles I’ve found that highlight the need for preservation and the heritage that would be lost if the property was destroyed:
- Article from El Diario de León
- Article from Leónoticias
The property is still available and seeks the right buyer!
