Happy Friday! This artist’s cottage on an island in Maine is making me swoon this morning. The house was built in 1861, and is light, airy, and homely inside. In the back of the house, down a boardwalk, is an artist’s studio.
I would love to move here and take inspiration from the island while creating gorgeous canvases in the studio. What a lovely place to live!
Little Cranberry Island is located in the Acadia region of Maine, near Bar Harbor. It’s a tiny island, only 200 acres (a third of a mile) long! It is accessible only by ferry.
From the listing:
Many of iconic artist Henry Isaacs’ notable paintings and works were conceived in this studio and residence – a classic Islesford house in a quiet neighborhood and close to everything the island has to offer. The house has many recent updates and is perfect for year round or summer living. Four bedrooms, 1 1/2 bathrooms, airy and light dining room, cozy wood stoves in living room and studio, with a deck and boardwalk to the studio.
great opportunity for investment
